Botox® is a brand name for botulinum toxin type A, a neurotoxin that blocks messages from the controlling nerves to the muscles.
It eliminates frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles and other signs of aging. Botox® also helps minimize the size of your face and stops excessive sweating.

 The beauty of Botox® is the simplicity of its treatment.  It is a 10-minute, non-surgical procedure.  With a few tiny amount of injections, you will see noticeable improvement in moderate to severe wrinkle areas within a day of the treatment. There is no recovery time, and the treatment results last up to 4 months after the procedure.  Results may vary per individual.

Your doctor will advise you where to administer the injection after carefully examining the movement of your face muscles.  Location, size, and use of those muscles that cause a furrowed brow are different among individuals.

Botox® treatment does not require anesthesia, however, some doctors may numb the area with a cold pack or an anesthetic cream before the injection.  Discomfort by the injection is very brief and minimum.

What exactly is Botox® Cosmetic ?

Botox® Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium.
